We will be removing legacy IP addresses from our server hardware. The IPs in question are in the 8.30.173.0/24, 8.36.70.0/24, and 8.45.131.0/24 subnets.
These provided redundancy years ago, but following some significant network upgrades they no longer add any value and have actually been the source of issues like asymmetric routing in the more recent past.
We have not been routing any external phone or carrier traffic over these IPs for several months. Unless any phones have been manually provisioned using IPs (which would never have been advisable), no action is necessary on the part of any customers. Firewall allowlist entries for these subnets can be safely removed at any time.
There may be some brief disruptions of internal server-to-server traffic during this maintenance window. These may manifest as post-dial delay. We will stagger these changes across zones to minimize the potential impact to all users.
